All employees are entitled to a comfortable and hostile-free work environment. All employers must provide a workplace that is free from harassment and discrimination. While that sounds simple and clear, it’s much easier said than done. Employers face many challenges in preventing harassment. Online harassment prevention training provides the baseline of knowledge managers and employees need to handle harassment in the workplace.

Harassment Prevention

Our human resources training on harassment provides the baseline knowledge managers and employees need to create and maintain a productive work environment.

California Sexual Harassment Prevention

California law requires that all businesses with five or more employees provide training on a variety of topics including how to prevent sexual harassment and how to handle it if it does occur. Our California Sexual Harassment Prevention training course is available for employees and supervisors and meets the minimum training standards as mandated by the California Fair Housing and Employment Act (FEHA), Senate Bill 1343, and related legislation.

Connecticut Sexual Harassment Prevention

Connecticut’s Time’s Up Act requires employers with 15 or more employees to train their employees on specific topics related to sexual harassment prevention. Employers of any size are required to train all supervisors. With one course that applies to both employees and supervisors, our Connecticut Sexual Harassment Prevention module exceeds the minimum training standards as mandated by Connecticut law.

Delaware Sexual Harassment Prevention

Delaware law requires that all businesses provide training on a variety of topics including how to prevent sexual harassment and how to handle it if it does occur. This Delaware Sexual Harassment Prevention training course meets and exceeds the minimum training standards as mandated by the Delaware Discrimination in Employment Act (DDEA) and related legislation.

Illinois Sexual Harassment Prevention

Illinois law requires that businesses train their employees on a state and federal anti-harassment laws, how to recognize harassment, how to report harassment, and the employer’s responsibility to investigate harassment complaints. Additional training requirements apply to employees of restaurants and bars. Current employees and supervisors must be trained by January 1st, 2021, or within 90 days of their hire date. All employees must be retrained each year. 

Maine Sexual Harassment Prevention

Employers in Maine with 15 or more employees are required to train their employees on specific topics related to sexual harassment prevention, with additional requirements for managers. Our separate employee and manager modules cover all the required content using real-world scenarios to help trainees recognize and respond to harassment in the workplace. These Maine Sexual Harassment Prevention modules meet and exceed the minimum training standards as mandated by the Maine Human Rights Act and related legislation. 

New York Sexual Harassment Prevention

New York state law requires that all businesses, regardless of their size, train all employees and managers on a variety of topics related to sexual harassment prevention, remedies available to victims of harassment, and the role of supervisors in handling harassment complaints. Our New York Sexual Harassment Prevention training course provides the baseline of knowledge managers and employees need to comply with the law.

This eight-minute online training module doesn’t tell anyone what they should think or how they should feel. It simply defines common DEI concepts and puts them in the context of the workplace.

FMLA

Our FMLA training, available for both employees and managers, teaches the definition of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and its provisions. Employees will learn the qualifying reasons for Family Medical Leave, and the steps that must be taken to apply and maintain Family Medical Leave. Managers will understand the responsibilities associated with following the proper protocol in the application of FMLA.

Violence in the Workplace

Make employee safety your number one priority by training your staff to be prepared for the possibility of workplace violence or abuse. This course reviews the company code of conduct, how to safeguard against potential violence and bullying, and what to do in the event intimidation or violence does occur. Employees will learn how to be proactive in creating a safe working environment and understand that their safety is your top priority.
